Dayton ISD district leaders recently traveled to Georgetown to participate in the Texas Strategic Leadership (TSL) Kickoff, a statewide leadership event focused on strengthening district systems and improving student outcomes.
The kickoff brought together superintendents and key district leaders from more than 50 school districts across Texas, representing 18 of the state’s 20 Education Service Center regions.
Throughout the event, participants took part in sessions based on the Effective District Framework, focusing on building and refining systems for performance monitoring, data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
The event featured Texas Commissioner of Education Mike Morath as the keynote speaker. Morath shared insights on effective leadership and the critical role district systems play in advancing student success.
Dayton ISD was proud to have district leaders among those in attendance, demonstrating the district’s commitment to continuous improvement and ensuring every student has access to a high-quality educational experience.
“Investing in leadership development and learning alongside other high-performing districts allows us to strengthen the systems that support our students, staff and community,” Superintendent Dr. Travis Young said. “The knowledge and collaboration gained through Texas Strategic Leadership will help us continue building on the great work taking place across Dayton ISD.”
