Linda C. Jackson

Linda C. Jackson, 86, of Anahuac, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, in Webster. 

She was born on March 21, 1940, in Winnie, Texas, to Melvin O., Sr. and Ella May Rollins Cummins.

Linda was a former resident of Hamshire and had made her home in Anahuac since 1961. She was a graduate of Hamshire-New Holland High School, attended cosmetology school, served for many years as a corporate officer for Chambers County Abstract and legal assistant at Jackson Law Office.

A devoted member of First Methodist Church Anahuac, Linda served on multiple committees and sang in the choir. She was also a former Anahuac City Council member, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a past Worthy Advisor for the Rainbow Girls, and the official founder of The Breakfast Club.

Linda enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, and diamond art. She will be remembered for her commitment to her church, her community, and her family.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years, Guy Cade Jackson III; her brother, Melvin “Jiggs” Cummins Jr.; and her sisters, Wilma “Sis” DeYoung, Verna Heckaman, and Mary Lou Henry.

She is survived by her son, Guy Robert Jackson; daughter, Linda Ann Jackson and husband, Kevin Foltz; son, Steven Lynn Jackson; sister, Lois “Baby” LeBlanc; and grandson, Aidan Patrick Jackson; along with other relatives and friends.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Bayside Community Hospital in Anahuac and to HCA – Clear Lake in Webster for their attentive care.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at First Methodist Church Anahuac, with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery.
